Hi, I'm not able to send e-mails using my bluewin e-mail account with Outlook or using my Android mobile once I'm outside Switzerlan. Inbox is working but Outbox does not work. I set the PC and the phone as per the information available on the bluewin website but it does not work. The only solution I have is to send e-mail using the webmail. Do you have a solution? ![]()

did you correctly configure the outgoing mail server to smtpauth(s).bluewin.ch and correct username / password?

Hi,
Yes, I followed the information available on the website but it does not work. I tried with the automatic and with the manual configuration with Window 7, iMac Lion and HTC Android but it does not work.
Message error on windows 7 is:
Sending error reported error (0x800CCC69) The server reported 550 5.7.1 replaying denied
On iMac is:
Can not send message using the server mattiab
Verify that you have addressed this message correctly. Check your SMTP server settings in Mail preferences and verify any advanced settings with your system administrator.
Select a different outgoing mail server from the list below or click Try Later to leave the message in your Outbox until it can be sent.
Sending from: x y <xy@bluewin.ch>
On Android:
Unable to send mail, The account setting is incorrect, check your configuration
I do not have the above mentioned problems when I'm in switzerland; only when I try to send e-mails while I'm traveling outside CH.

Same here.
I travel and therefore I am not alway on Swisscom network. When abroad on a different ISP, I can recieve messages via the pop3s.bluewin.ch without problem. I can't send via any of the smtp servers (smtpauth or smtpauths - using the appropriate port). I can send a message to my own address or any other on bluewin.ch. This let me think that my configuration is correct but Swisscom check the IP address and when the request is send from outside the network they reject the "relay". It appears that from the Bluewin SMTP a request from abroad to send to an email outside the bluewin network is a relay and it does not allow it.
outside -> smtp -> outside.
RCPT TO:<olivier.morf@gmail.com> Restricted relay - relaying not allowed
One way is to configure a different smtp server. Like the one of the ISP you are using the netwok. Usually it is "open". but it is a pain as you need to reconfigure.
I did not find any other solution. Maybe someone know of an smtp server we can register to that works as a relay provided that you identify yourself ?

I had exactly the same issue. Contacted the hotline and they configured my mail address to be able to send mail when not connected via swisscom ISP.

last update: I called the hotline and it seems that it is not possible to configure the system to send e-mails via outlook, i-phone, android or MAC... the only solution is to use the page webmail. Unfortunately, it does not work on android and on i-Pad it is not user-friendly. ![]()

Call them again. I'm sure that, even with a free mail address, they could change this so you could use imap or pop from abroad.

Seit ca. 6 Wochen habe ich bluewin e-mail hier in Costa Rica problemlos verwendet. Seit vorgestern erhalte ich die folgende Meldung wenn ich versuche mich einzulogen:
The webpage cannot be found
This error (HTTP 404 Not Found) means that Internet Explorer was able to connect to the website, but the page you wanted was not found. It's possible that the webpage is temporarily unavailable. Alternatively, the website might have changed or removed the webpage.

don't forget to use your mailaddress as the username
